What's up with the new pricing?

We decided to make Starlight the preferred choice in all areas: Comfort, Amenities and now Price!


What's up with the new locations?

Several things:

1) Fabian Kuttner and the IX Project are really, really cool!

2) Who doesn't want to be across the street from Trader Joes?

3) Hawes Spencer will simply NOT ALLOW us to go out of business!

4) We will need the space with all the people enjoying the new price!


I have old credits with Starlight, how will that work?

If you have credits for unused or prepaid tickets they are still good. 1 old ride credit = 1 new ride credit.


Are you guys really going to start dropping off in Washington?

Not exactly, probably the Vienna Metro Station sometime in July.


Why can't I buy a round trip anymore?

You can but, there is no extra discount for round trip.


What if I can't use a ticket I bought?

No problem – as long as you know at least two hours before your bus is due to depart, call us at 434-295-0782, email us at admin@nycshuttle.com or fax us at 434-979-4353 with your ticket number and you will get a 100% refund. All calls, emails and faxes are time stamped. If you used a credit card, we will issue a credit card refund within 3 days. If you paid cash, we will mail a check within 3 days. If you paid any other way, we will mail a check 7 days after your payment clears the bank.


What if I don't know that soon or forget to call?

Big problem – you only get 25% back if you call anytime from two hours before departure to 30 days after departure.


What If I have been in the wilderness, feeding the hungry, for the last 31 days and couldn't call?

Sorry, we spent all of your money feeding our own hungry staff.


Can I get a refund at the bus?

No. All refunds are handled through the office.


The bus was late. Am I entitled to a refund?

No. All departure and arrival times are estimates and may be affected by any number of factors including weather, traffic, or mechanical issues.


I qualify for a discount, but I already bought the ticket at a higher price. May I receive a refund?

Yes. Get a refund (as long as it's at least 2 hours before departure) and buy another ticket.


Can I exchange my ticket for a different travel date or time?

Yes. Get a refund (as long as it's at least 2 hours before departure) and buy another ticket.


I'd like to change my destination. Can I do that without paying a fee?

Yes. Get a refund (as long as it's at least 2 hours before departure) and buy another ticket.


Can I bring my pet?

Sorry. No.


Can I send a package without a human?

Sorry. No.


What if my package is a human under 18 years of age, can I send them alone?

Sorry. No.
